Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Cotonou was established to enhance bilateral relations between Nigeria and Benin Republic. The two neighbouring African countries have since grown steadily in trade and mutual economic development. The Nigerian Embassy handles all diplomatic and consular affairs.
Head of Mission
Ambassador Mopelola ADEOLA-IBRAHIM, was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Benin by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 6th March, 2026.
