Ambassador Mopelola Adeola-Ibrahim Holds Town Hall Meeting with Nigerian Community in Benin Republic

Cotonou, 2 July 2026 — The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Benin, H.E. Ambassador Mopelola Adeola-Ibrahim, held a Town Hall Meeting with representatives of various Nigerian groups and associations resident in the Republic of Benin.

The meeting provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue on issues affecting the Nigerian community, with participants exchanging views on ways to strengthen unity, cooperation, and the welfare of Nigerians in Benin.

In her remarks, the Ambassador encouraged Nigerians to remain law-abiding, respect the laws of their host country, and continue to promote the values and positive image of Nigeria. She reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to engaging relevant authorities and stakeholders in advancing the interests of Nigerians in the Republic of Benin.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment by the Embassy and the Nigerian community to strengthen partnership, dialogue, and cooperation for the collective benefit of Nigerians residing in the Republic of Benin.
